Semen Collection & Freezing offered by Antlered Acres Whitetails:
Artificial Insemination is a good way to increase your genetic level in your heard. Semen is collected and packed in 1/4 & 1/2 cc straws, and stored in liquid nitrogen. It is priced accordingly to the quality and the pedigree of the buck that it was collected from. We offer semen collections and freezing by Dr. Rodney Bachtell DVM and Tammy Felmlee CAHT. Both of these highly qualified people have been involved in the Bovine Embryo Transfers for a number of years. They have been working with Antlered Acres Whitetails since 2004 overseeing the Artificial Insemination process offered by AAW. Just recently Rodney and Tammy have expanded there services by studying and working hands on with Dr. Shipley at the University of Illinois, who is a well known Dr in the whitetails industry. They are now able to offer semen collection and processing as a service to the whitetail industry. Dr Bachtell has been a veterinarian for the past twenty-one years, and Tammy has been a Certified Animal Health Technician for the past twenty-two years. Between these two people they bring a lot of experience to your farm when they arrive to do a semen collection. Both of these people have taken an interest in the Whitetail Industry and have a lot of knowledge to offer. This team has performed semen collections at our farm with great success.
